What is Menopausal coaching?
Menopause nutritional advice and coaching is a holistic and personalised approach aimed at helping women navigate the pivotal stage of their life with more serenity, confidence and fulfilment. Coaching provides a safe, confidential, non-judgement space to support you with whatever you may be needing support in during the menopausal stages.
How will Menopause Coaching help me?
Support and maximise your nutrition and lifestyle whether you taking hormonal medication or not.
Addressing your menopausal symptoms and reducing their severity by making changes in diet, lifestyle, behaviour etc.
Providing you with evidence based solutions to get you towards achieving your health goals.
Address how you can prevent and/or slow down the progression of chronic disease and ageing concerns.
I offer simple and effective strategies, diet assessment and meal plans to correct these symptoms so they do not bother you anymore!
Best of all you will have someone who will listen, support you along the way!
What does a coaching session cover?
a full medical history is taken along with dietary and lifestyle factors
a questionnaire and discussion, looking at your current menopausal experience such as your physical, emotional and relational symptoms that impact your daily life. Examples: hot flushes, mood, brain fog, low libido and personal and professional relationships
establishing goals and strategies to put in place to reduce symptoms and overcome challenges and difficulties
support and guidance throughout your journey
How will nutritional consultation help me?
This is a more detailed look at your current food intake, habits and food consumption timing. It is a very good insight as to whether you are getting enough nutrients for your stage of life and needs.
Who cannot receive nutritional advice?
Those who are pregnant and/or breastfeeding, diagnosed with diabetes, cancer, coeliac disease, renal disease, IBS, IBD or any medically diagnosed eating disorder such as anorexia bulimia.
Anyone on any prescribed medication for blood pressure, cardiovascular disease or high cholesterol.
If you have any of the above listed diseases or conditions, please see an Accredited Practising Dietician for nutritional advice or support.
How many sessions will I need to see results?
You will be guided by your nutritional coach as to the best options for your personal needs. When it comes to menopause and making lifestyle and behavioural changes to improve ourselves it is a long term gain. We can work together in a treatment plan which will suit you budget and time availability.
